MiPower software, widely used by power system engineers in India & abroad and has the track record of about 12 years. Initially, the package was called "CAPSS"-Computer Aided Power System Simulation Software, developed under DOS-Platform. To begin with, the package was developed to aid the in-house consultancy studies. As new features were added, the system study clients started procuring the package. In 1994, the package was christened as MiPower and a major enhancement work started. The package was designed to run on Windows 95,98/NT operating systems. MS-Access was used as backend database to store the power system study data.

Today, MiPower runs on Windows 98 / Windows NT / Windows 2000 Server / Windows 2000 Professional / Windows XP Home / Windows XP Professional / Windows 2003. MiPower is used by a large number of state power transmission and distribution companies. It is also widely used by domestic and International consultants. Besides these, MiPower is used by hundreds of educational institutions & research organizations.
