Features of Database Manager

 Centralized database concept

Interactive forms for faster data entry.

Each equipment data is given as Element data and Library.

Element (Field) Information The data related to power system equipment, field placement is to be entered in "Elements". Connectivity information and operational data like tap setting, scheduled power, specified voltage, number of circuits are entered here. Before entering element data, library data availability is a must, as element data consists of a link to library.

Library (Manufacturer) Information "Libraries" contain the information related to equipment rating, impedance and winding connections if any as per the name plate details or as per technical data. As the library information covers the name plate details, different field elements can refer to same library, there by avoiding the duplication of data. Depending on the p.u status, this data is read

Per Unit status and parameter consideration If p.u status is TRUE, then all impedance values are on common MVA base. If it is FALSE, then all impedance values are to be specified on the equipment rating except for transmission line impedances. For transmission line or cable the R is in ohms/km, X is in ohms/km and susceptance is in mho/km/ckt

User defined number of contingencies can be created.

User defined number of cases for each contingency can be done.

Multiplication Factors: In power system modeling, if exact values of certain parameters of the power system are not known, some approximate values can be considered by use of multiplication factors.

Reduction Factors: The reduction factors are used while executing load flow and transient stability study. If the loads in some of the zones should be reduced or increased the reduction factors can be used.

Different power system studies can be conduct on single click after inputting the data into the database

AVRs: Five types of AVRs are integrated in the database. IEEE types 1 to 5 are available.

PSS: The AVRs can take supplementary input from PSS. One type of PSS is integrated in the database.

TGs: Three types of Turbine governors are integrated in the database. Steam, Hydro and Gas types are available.
SVCs: One type of SVC is integrated in the database

In addition to the standard AVR, TG, PSS, SVC and HVDC controls, provision to connect customized AVR,TG, SVC and HVDC controls also possible.

User defined filter can be used i.e. filter with any number of branches can be accommodated.
User defined load characteristics.
Generator capability curves for generator.
Huge relay library with different makes.
 Fuse library.
Transmission and cable library.
